A Fresher Solution From Iceland

Long before there was sustainable there was Iceland. Since 1901 the Icelandic fishing grounds have been protected and preserved for and by the Icelandic fishing industry. Icelandic Responsible Fisheries detailed documentation supports the sustainability and responsible harvesting of our ICYBAY® fresh Cod, Flounder and Haddock as well as the traceability from the plate to the fishery.

The Story of ICYBAY® fresh Cod, Flounder and Haddock begins on day boats. While others are at sea for up to 14 days, our vessels return to shore daily with their catch.

Cod and Haddock are hook and line caught, which minimizes bruises, cuts and damages that occur with the trawling method used by most. Flounder is caught by Danish seine.

Our catch is processed daily. Cod and Haddock are custom hand cut, resulting in fillets 100% usable, which maximizes yield by eliminating hidden costs from waste.  All fillets are candled to ensure a defect free product. Skin-on fillets are scaled. And of course, all groundfish fillets are completely chemical free.

Available year-round for our customers to enjoy, ICYBAY® fresh fillets are flown daily from Iceland. Typically our fish is received within 48 hour of catch, extending the usable life of our premium product.

With a unique combination of responsible harvesting, careful processing and timely delivery the Cod, Flounder and Haddock from Iceland arrives to our tables fresher than ever before.
